Brian and Matt - I knew your mother before you were born. We worked together in NY and stayed in touch over all these years. I cannot tell you how sorry I am to learn of her passing. All of you will remain in my thoughts and prayers. With love

Dear Matt, Brian, PD and the entire Clarke Family,

At a loss for words as we try and offer all of you comfort and love at this most difficult of times. Although we never met Susan, her love of her sons was evidenced in the way Matt always spoke to us of her -- Matt and Brian are her greatest legacy. And we are so grateful for all of the time she spent with Carrie, treating her as one of her own -- whether it was simply visiting with her, including her in family events or taking her shopping - Susan brought so much to our daughter's life and enabled us to know Susan through Carrie's eyes. Susan you are our hero - rest now dear, sweet woman.

Beautiful woman, adored friend, a mother and wife who went above and beyond, a constantly attentive daughter and sister ~ Susan, you will never be forgotten .

The years of love and laughter, the times of tears and sorrow ~ it was a privilege to share these with you, dearest Susan.

I shall miss you terribly, and at the same time I know you are with our beloved Paul , and both of you are well and at peace.

To paraphrase ~

. . . Perhaps they are not the stars, but rather openings in Heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know they are now happy, well, together .
