Paul and Rebecca, I am so sad to hear about Susan's passing. We were friends since the 7th grade. One of my favorite memories was the summer we were roomies at YMCA camp and we each secretly took a bottle of peroxide and dumped it on our hair. There were about 8 of us that left with orange hair. This idea was inspired by Ellen Campbell. Susan was such a lovely person devoted to her family. I am so glad that she had Paul to spend the last 14 years with. I pray for comfort for you. Dear sweet Rebecca, my heart goes out to you. I know how close you and Susan were. I also lift you up as this must be so devastating for you. To Travis and Dawson, I pray that you know how very much your mother loved you and your children. Her eyes would light up when she talked about you. The last time I was in Shreveport for a reunion, she showed me pictures of you and the grandchildren and was so proud of you. I pray that you will continue to make her proud of you as she will be looking down from heaven and watching over you.

As a former Sewanee Place neighbor, my thoughts & prayers go out to Rebecca and your family during this difficult time.

We are deeply saddened by your loss. As next door neighbors many years ago on Lark Avenue, we have wonderful "play" memories of Susan & Rebecca. Her family was wonderful. Sweet Cousin Susan, you were a beautiful daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, friend, cousin and so much more. I will always remember your sweet smile and your soft voice. You will be missed by so many. We are so glad that our family was able to be together back in April. Our love to all of your family!!
