Susan MOYER Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 10, 2019.
Age 65 Of St. Paul Passed away February 4, 2019, after a nine-year battle with ovarian cancer. She fought that disease with the same passion and exuberance that she extended to all aspects of her life. She was preceded in death by parents Louis & Catherine Milli. She is survived by husband Paul; children Evan Joseph Moyer, Katherine Moyer Tuttle (Jacob) and her amazing grandchild Carol Hildegard Tuttle; siblings Mary Gregg, Christine (Gary) Banick, Maggie (Bob) Ward, Michael (Shirley) Milli, Patricia Quaranto, Peter (Sue) Milli, Joseph (Jodi) Milli, & Roy Milli, also survived by Paul's family. The Twin Cities United Way was her most heart-felt place of employment. As Manager of Caring Connections, Sue expanded this program to over 40,000 corporate volunteers for the State of Minnesota. Her role as manager of cultural diversity programs at the Minneapolis Community & Technical College led her to the University of St. Thomas Graduate School of Business where she continued to expand the multicultural and workplace diversity agenda. She also worked as a speech therapist to infant, preschool and special needs adults at UDAC Duluth, and worked as a consultant with Merrick, Inc. Personally, Sue was a community activist, organizing tree recycling, park and neighborhood clean-up of Battle Creek Park and a very active member of St. Pascal Baylon Church. Memorial Mass Saturday, February 16th at 10:30 AM at ST. PASCAL BAYLON CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1757 Conway Street with visitation starting at 9:00 am. Memorials preferred to either U of M- Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology & Women's Health - Ovarian Cancer Research Fund or Church of St. Pascal Baylon/Hospitality. She is gone from our sight but lives in our hearts.

We SHALL meet again in Heaven!

Sue was an amazing woman of Faith that I saw thru the years at Saint Pascal Baylon church. She and Paul were our Marriage counselors back in 1995, a great couple.
I shall miss seeing her with Paul at Saint Pascals, always volunteering, always smiling.
So sorry to her entire family, so hard to lose such a wonderful sweet, friendly person.
My heart shall grieve for years.

I cannot be with you, Paul and family, for Sue's visitation and funeral, but I am with you in prayer. Sue has brought joy and been a bright light for so many. I was privileged to know her in my days as pastor at St. Pascal's. More recently, we had a blessed encounter this past year on my last day serving as a hospital chaplain when she was in-patient. She updated me on her family (beloved grandchild!) her work and travels with Paul. We prayed together drawing on her faith, courage and strength. I treasure that visit and the knowledge that so many others have been similarly touched.
