Susan Patnaude Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 28, 2025.
Susan Patnaude (Savaria), born on March 15, 1954, in Burlington, Vermont, passed away on November 1, 2024, in Round Rock, Texas. Her passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Susan's life was marked by dedication-to her work, family, and the simple joys that brought her happiness. Susan began her professional journey at IBM, where she worked for over a decade and took great pride in her role. Later, Susan continued her career at Flextronics before finding a final home at Goodwill. Susan found joy not only in her work but also in the treasures discovered through thrift shopping-always on the lookout for a good deal and delighting in the hunt.

In 1970, Susan married Richard Stevens Patnaude. Together they built a family rooted in love and resilience. They were the proud parents of three children: Jennifer Patnaude (who preceded her in death), Richard Patnaude II, and Erika Mariage (Patnaude) husband Barry Mariage. Their legacy continues through seven grandchildren-Richard Patnaude III, Morrison Fallon (Patnaude) husband Robert Fallon, Makenzy Dungan, Harper Dungan, Melvin Pouch III, Nebraska Patnaude, and Cy Carfer-and three great-grandchildren: Mason Fallon, Maylee Fallon, and Lily Patnaude. Susan had 2 daughter in laws she loved dearly Sheena Patnaude and Janill Carfer.

Leaving behind her dearest sister Pauline Schmoll (Savaria)

Susan was predeceased by their beloved daughter Jennifer; sister Karen Savaria; brother in law John Schmoll; mother Delores Savaria; and father William Savaria. The memory of these cherished family members remained close to Susan's heart throughout their life.

Beyond her professional accomplishments and family devotion, Susan embraced life with warmth and generosity. She loved watching game shows and spending time with family-moments filled with laughter and connection. The beach held a special place in Susan's heart; it was a source of peace and joy that reflected her vibrant spirit.

Those who knew Susan remember them as a devoted sister, wife, granny, and friend-someone whose heart overflowed with kindness. Granny's love touched many lives deeply. To miss someone so much is to know how truly special they were.

Susan will be remembered always-with love that endures beyond words and presence that remains forever in our hearts.
