Words can’t express how sorry I am to hear of Sue’s passing. She and I kept in touch throughout the years...she was always so kind, supportive and funny. She could make me laugh and see the brighter side of things...even when doing it in the most matter of fact way. I am sending as much peace as I can to Mrs Pollack, Kevin, and his family. Love to you all...

For Susan's family, I'd like to send my condolences and sympathies. Susan was an integral team member at NTCNA and is one of a kind. She not only was great to work with professionally but she also was able to connect with everyone personally. Her positive energy uplifted everything that she worked on. For the BSTs (employee resource teams), she promoted all of the activities that were important for each team and shared it locally at NTCNA and with all of Nissan North America. It was always fun working these activities with her. She will be sorely missed. Rest in peace, Susan.

Susan and I worked together at Arbor Drugs, in Melvindale, in the mid 90s. She texted me when she got her 1st "big girl job." She was so excited. We touched base with each other every few years to check up on each other. Unfortunately, we hadn't talked in about 5 years. Susan was a great "kid." So much fun to be around. A warm, caring heart. The world has lost a good one. RIP, Susan.

Susan was one-of-kind. I had the pleasure of working with her almost every day for the past four years. She was a hard worker, so creative, a wonderful storyteller, but most of all, she had such a zest and passion for life. I will miss your recipes, and I will always remember the Goo Goo Dolls spin class we took together when you came to Nashville a few years ago. We even got William on a bike with us. :) Prayers for her family.

I was very sad to hear that Susan had passed. Her entire time at Nissan I was able to work with her. Even when I lived in Japan, she would keep me up to speed on how things were going in the Farmington Hills office. She had a real passion for her job and people. I will remember the holiday party many years ago where everyone was dressed up and there was Susan in her sneakers that would light up as she walked. It was perfectly Susan! I will miss her.

Wow. What a shock. Reading all the memories people who knew her wrote, say it all. Running into her at the office was always a pleasure. Always enthusiastic. Always positive. A great PR person for the company. I remember enjoying our conversations about anything, walking out to our cars in the parking lot after a long day. Whatever topic was, we parted smiling and often laughing too. Every time I ran into you, it made my day better. Rest in peace Susan. The office will not be the same without you and your positive spirit. My deepest condolences go out to your family.

I'm sorry I never got to meet Susan but she was always such a pleasure to work with from afar. So organized and succinct - an incredibly effective, polite, professional, and diligent communicator. She worked much more frequently with my wife who always only had such positive things to say about her. Susan's passing was far too soon and came as such a shock. We pray that she's reunited with her father and that she's happy in a better place. Prayers for her family!

April 12, 2021

I met Susan while working together at the Automotive Hall of Fame in Dearborn, MI. She had been hired as a PR intern and I managed the corporate events, so I often relied on her help in promoting the facility. Even though she was only in her early 20s, I was impressed by her professionalism and maturity. After leaving AHF, Susan's flourishing career kept her on the road quite frequently but we always kept in touch and arranged to have dinner together whenever her schedule allowed.

Susan was a very generous person; each Christmas she made me my favorite peanut butter fudge and gave me a lovely present, and often included small gifts for my children. Other get-togethers were with a group of extended friends at Susan's home in Canton which she had decorated so beautifully. Susan was a natural hostess and made everyone feel so welcome, and treated us all to some of her special reserve tequila. :)

I will always remember Susan's bright smile, her dedication to her work, her love of family (she spoke often of her parents, her brother and his children), and the incredible way she gave of herself. I am devastated that she is gone so soon, but grateful that she did so much living in her 42 years.

I hired Susan as an intern at the Automotive Hall of Fame when she was a U of M Dearborn student -- and then full time when she graduated. I knew it wouldn't last long as her talent would certainly be recognized elsewhere -- and she would be off. It was wonderful to see her career grow -- and wonderful that we kept in touch over all these years. I am so saddened to hear the news -- the passing of a kind person, a smart, savvy, ethical PR professional.
I shared the sad news with my young adult children today -- who both remember "Miss Susan" from the Hall of Fame -- and the fact that she always asked about them and followed their young adult journeys.
You are already missed my friend. Too young, too soon.

Susan and I often traveled to the same NASCAR truck or Xfinity stand-alone races, which are not often in the most exciting places, with the exception of Montreal. One year we coordinated travel and stayed downtown and found an amazing creperie right outside our hotel. The best breakfast on the way to the track is a Nutella and strawberry crepe. It was also approved by Brady Blue Bear. R.I.P.
