Susan Therit Obituary
DOVER
Susan E. (Swords) Therit, 57, passed away Monday, October 10, 2016 at Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of Philip L. Therit to whom she was married for 31 years.
Born July 9, 1959 in York a daughter of the late Thelma V. (Benedict) and Clarence W. Swords, Jr., she was a 1977 graduate of Dover High School. Mrs. Therit was a medical assistant at Memorial Family Medicine at Greensprings for the past eight years. Prior to that, she worked at Susquehanna Pfaltzgraff, Inc. for 26 years. Susan was an avid reader, enjoyed going to Bible Study at St. John Lutheran Church and had worked at Buck Motorsports Park on Saturday nights for the past 10 years. She was a member at Faith Evangelical Congregational Church and also attended Church of the Open Door.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Therit is survived by two daughters, Ashley L. and husband, James Bushey of Dover and Amber N. Therit of Dover; a sister, Karen M. Smith of Dillsburg; and an uncle, Raymond Benedict of Hellam.
A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, October 14, 2016 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York with Rev. Michael E. Campbell officiating. Viewings will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.
Memorial contributions may be made to Pennsylvania Wounded Warriors, Inc., 1117 Country Club Rd., Camp Hill, PA 17011.

Although I didn't know Sue very well at all, other than as a high school classmate, I send my condolences to the family. She left too soon. May the memories bring you comfort during this difficult time.

she was such a great woman to get to know an awesome neighbor to hang out with my thoughts and prayers go out to the family and definitely to her husband and her two daughters she has now gained her wings and his Flying high in heaven rest in peace Sue
