Susan Todd Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 21, 2025.
Susan Madigan Todd, 68, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2025, in Davie, Florida. Born on January 30, 1957, in Elmhurst, Illinois, Susan lived a life marked by creativity, compassion, and deep devotion to those she loved.

A loving wife and mother, Susan shared her life with her husband, Bruce Todd. Her heart was forever touched by the memory of her daughter, Brittani Kathleen Madigan, who preceded her in death. Susan's generous spirit and unwavering kindness were hallmarks of her character-she had a heart of gold and always sought to help others in any way she could.

Susan was one of thirteen siblings. She is survived by her brothers Mark (Barbara) Madigan, James Madigan, Thomas Madigan, and Michael (Sherry) Madigan; and her sisters Maureen Larson, Eileen (Michael) Moese, Mary (Bruce) Hagan, and Colleen (Joseph) Zbilski. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who will remember her warmth and generosity. She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Patricia Madigan; her brothers Christopher, Matthew, and David and her sister Kathleen.

Susan expressed herself through art and found joy in creating beauty from simple things. She loved making jewelry and driftwood art-each piece a reflection of her imagination and care. Paint-by-number projects brought her quiet satisfaction as she filled canvases with color and life. On occasion, she enjoyed fishing-a peaceful pastime that connected her to nature.

Her compassion extended beyond family and friends to causes close to her heart. Susan supported charities such as St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and Toys for Tots with steadfast dedication.

A private celebration of life and burial will be held to honor Susan's memory.

May the memory of Susan Madigan Todd bring comfort to all who knew and loved her. A Celebration of Life will be held on July 25, 2025, from 04:30 PM to 08:30 PM at Sugar Creek Golf Course 500 E Van Buren St. A Burial will be held on July 26, 2025, at 09:15 AM at Queen of Heaven Cemetary 1400 S Wolf Rd Hillside, IL
