Susan Wiley Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Dec. 3 to Dec. 7, 2023.
Worthington - Susan Morse Wiley, 87, a longtime resident of Worthington, Ohio, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2023. She was born July 7, 1936 in Springfield, Massachusetts, to the late Addison and Gladys Morse.

Susan was best known for her eternal sense of joy and optimism. She had a kind word for everyone she met and always uplifted others. She dedicated her life to helping people as a Psychiatric Social Worker for 40 years. The culmination of her career was spent at the former Family Counseling and Crittenton Services. Her passion and commitment to her profession touched the lives of many individuals and families in need.

She was a proud alumna of Smith College and furthered her education with a master's degree from Simmons College of Social Work. Her academic achievements reflect her devotion to the well being of others, a passion she has instilled in her children and grandchildren.

Above all, Susan cherished her family. She was a much beloved wife, mother, and grandmother (known as "G-Sue" to her grandchildren). She is survived by her loving husband Walter, with whom she shared 54 beautiful years of marriage; her sister Mary Kulawik; daughters Allison Periatt and Amy Vig; and her grandchildren Lindsey, Zach, Lexi, Abby, and Ellie.

Susan leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion that will continue to inspire all that knew her. She will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts.
