Susan Williamson Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 22, 2024.

Our mother, Susan Davenport Williamson, passed away peacefully on April 18th in Redwood City, California. Born and raised in Waterloo, Iowa, Susan moved to San Francisco after graduating from Northwestern University in Chicago. Susan enjoyed tennis and then golf, and was also a master bridge and mahjong player, patiently teaching many friends and family to play. Susan loved to cook for others, preparing dishes from many styles, creating needlepoint artwork and cherished the ocean views in Bodega Bay, California, where she lived for over 25 years. She was good friend, astute investor and a lover of animals, rescuing many cats over the years. Susan is survived by her husband, George, and daughters Amy (Sean Truesdale) and Lisa (Chris Stirling), as well as her five beloved grandchildren, Sydney, Madison and Tyler Truesdale, and Marshall and Margaret Stirling. In lieu of flowers, please provide donations to JDRF.org in support of Type 1 Diabetes research.
