Susanne Davis Konigsberg

September 30, 1932 - May 28, 2021 Susanne Davis Konigsberg of West Hollywood, CA died peacefully at home on May 28, 2021 from complications of Parkinson's Disease. Born in Philadelphia in 1932, Susanne spent her childhood in Rutland, VT before attending the University of Chicago and eventually moving to San Francisco and New York.In 1963 she married Franklin Konigsberg and moved to Los Angeles in 1967, where she remained for the rest of her life.Susanne was deeply intellectual and a consummate traveler, which led to her seek a BA in Anthropology from UCLA in 1970, and a MA in the same field two years later. Susanne was an active patron of the arts with an abiding love of music, especially the LA Philharmonic and the LA Opera. She traveled extensively on six continents, including automobile expeditions traversing the historic Silk Road, and across Mongolia. Always active, Susanne loved her gardens and her dogs. Susanne remained immaculately stylish until her death and gave significant charitable contributions to many organizations throughout her life.Susanne is predeceased by her husband Franklin. She is survived by her daughter Rachel O'Meara, her three grandchildren Ruth, Ira, and Brook, and four great-grandchildren: Georgia, Zelda, Ernest, and Rilla.In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you give some money to a homeless person.
