Suzan Hausburg Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 1, 2024.
Suzan Jane Hausburg, 64, of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, passed away after a short illness on March 30, 2024.

She is predeceased by her parents Mary Anne "Casey" Hausburg and Edward A. Hausburg and her beloved Aunt Fay "Buff" March-Bye. She is survived by her sister Paige Hausburg (Nancy J. Clark); brother Al Hausburg (Jo Barrett); nieces Maria and Patricia Biava, of Virginia; Aunt Marge Wilt and Uncle Richard Lehr (Helen) of Pennsylvania; Aunt Carol Gluntz of New Mexico; and many cousins.

She is also survived by her loving family in Palm Beach Gardens: Michele Wonyetye; Samantha Burns-Reid (Eugene Jones, Jr.); the apple of Suzan's eye, Samantha's son, Michael Reid; Robert Wonyetye III; many friends; B'ing The Best, Inc. colleagues and her beloved cat PJ.

Suzan was born in Lawton, Oklahoma on December 20, 1959. Her father was in the Army so that meant frequent moves. The family settled in Alexandria, Virginia where Suzan graduated from Hayfield Secondary School in 1977. She went to Northland College in Ashland, Wisconsin, where she played volleyball and basketball on scholarship, graduating in 1981.

Suzan moved to Florida and started a 38+ year career with McDonald's, starting in Miami and ending in Palm Beach Gardens. She had a great sense of humor, and loved to laugh. Her passion for cooking was evident in the meals and baked goods she shared so generously. An avid sports fan, Suzan watched everything from golf to ice hockey, and enjoyed watching college sports. She also enjoyed going on cruises. Her last port of call was St. Thomas, USVI, where she was when she passed. We will all miss her terribly.

The family wishes to extend heartfelt gratitude to the Schneider Medical Center, St. Thomas, USVI, and Dr. Danielle Commissiong and her staff for the compassionate caring and medical attention provided.

Memorial donations may be made to the Max M. Fischer Boys and Girls Club of Riviera Beach, 221 West 13th Street Riviera Beach, FL 33404.

A celebration of life will be planned for a later date.
