Suzanne SNOOK Obituary

Published by Ottawa Citizen from Jan. 25 to Jan. 26, 2016.
SNOOK, Suzanne Jeanette
(née Feltham)
Peacefully, surrounded by family on Thursday, 21 January, 2016, and taken too soon at age 55. Beloved wife of Raymond Snook. Loving mother of Madeleine and greatest supporter of her exploits as a hockey goalie. Dear sister of Karen, Rosemary, Paul and Claire. Caring owner of Dudley and Max. Fondly remembered by family and her many friends, Suzie wore her heart on her sleeve and loved life. A member of the Ottawa Guild of Potters, Suzie was an avid 'mud master,' gaining inspiration in her designs from her birthplace in the Pacific Northwest. Her creativity also extended to a Home Staging partnership and a reputation as a wonderfully engaging and caring host. A Memorial Service and Celebration of Suzie's Life will be held at
Capital Funeral Home & Cemetery
3700 Prince of Wales Drive
613-692-1211
on Thursday, 28 January at 1:00 p.m. For those who care to linger longer there will follow a reception with food and refreshment. With respect to the loving and competent care that Suzie received from Dr. Katerina Spacek and the nurses and staff of Hospice Care Ottawa, contributions in her memory may be directed there through visiting www.hospicecareottawa.ca. Suzie, Your smile would light up a room, your kindness and caring knew no bounds, your artistic ability was amazing. You were the best mother for Maddie, supported her hockey with every fiber of your being. Ray, has lost his soul mate and many of your friends, will feel a void for years to come. Thank you for all your love, laughs, tears and the fighting inspiration you were to us all. May you rest in peace in heaven, no more pain or tears for you. I miss you terribly, you will forever be in my memory and my family.

We lost a friend. I only met her about a year ago and never knew her before her cancer.
She came into our life circuitously.
I can't tell the whole story because it Is not mine to tell.
Throughout this last year she opened her heart and her home and helped even when she couldn't possibly have had the energy to do so. She apologized for not doing more or when her illness took her memory.
Her home was a safe place when no other place seemed to be.
Thank you for being there when he needed you.
Meeting her friends that she has had since childhood left me in awe.
Her kindness and spirit drew people to her. And they stayed.

And she loved. With all her heart she loved.

Our lives will be poorer for her no longer being in it. We are so much richer because she was.

Suzie, you were a teacher, a friend, a confident and an inspiration. I was thinking of you all this month and kept wanting to pick up the phone... I hope you hear me now. You were a treasure to all who knew you. I send love and support to Ray and Madeleine, who you loved with every fiber of your being.
