Sylvia Marie (Dallara) Curtis passed away peacefully on July 9, 2025, at the age of 90. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother and great-grandmother, and a woman who cherished her family and the natural world around her.

Born on October 28, 1934, Sylvia was the daughter of the late Matilda (Mariani) Dallara and John Dallara. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Timothy Daniel Curtis, and her dear son, Timothy Gerard Curtis.

Sylvia is survived by her sister Lorriane DeMaria (Dallara), son, Daniel Curtis and his wife Judith (Veverka), and her daughter, Kathleen Mendez (Curtis) and her husband Charles. She was a proud grandmother to Jennifer O'Flaherty (Curtis) and her husband Ryan, Melissa Johnson (Mendez) and her husband Mark, and Jessica Curtis and her fiancé Anthony Bailey. She also leaves behind two cherished great-grandchildren, Keegan and Jet O'Flaherty.

Sylvia had a deep love for her family, which was the heart of her life. She found great joy in spending time with her children and grandchildren, always offering kindness, wisdom, and unwavering support.

A lifelong lover of nature and history, Sylvia found her greatest peace walking the wooded paths near her home, especially at Upper Greenwood Lake-a place she held dear to her heart. She appreciated the beauty in the world around her and carried a quiet strength that touched all who knew her.

She will be remembered for her warm spirit, her deep love for her family, and her profound appreciation of the simple, meaningful moments in life.
