Sylvia Lynch Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 10, 2024.
Sylvia M. Lynch (née Bond), affectionately known as Grumpy, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2024, in Northborough, MA, at the age of 88. Born on September 11, 1935, in Guildford, UK, Sylvia was a vibrant and spirited individual throughout her life.

Sylvia was a successful entrepreneur who owned and operated a beloved dog grooming business for many years. Upon retirement, she continued to engage with her community as an independent contractor, conducting food demonstrations at local grocery stores. Her work ethic and passion for service left a lasting impact on those she worked with and served.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Sylvia had an enduring love for roller skating, a hobby she pursued well into her 70s. She also had a creative side, enjoying various arts and crafts, and a love for tropical birds, which brought much joy and color to her life.

Sylvia was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her sons, Daniel Lynch (Audrey) and Paul Lynch (Leigh); daughter, Teresa Jones (Don); and grandchildren, Christopher Lynch (Amanda), Hayley Symons, Courtney Lynch, Alex Lynch, and Nikki Lynch. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 49 years, Robert Lynch; her daughter, Ann Smith; her parents, Jane and Albert Bond; her brother, George Bond (Sylvia); and her sister, Jean Richardson (Reg).

In keeping with her wishes, no services will be held. Chiampa Funeral Home in Shrewsbury, MA is assisting the family during this time. Sylvia's legacy of love, creativity, and community involvement will be cherished and remembered by all who knew her.
