Lubbock- 67, passed away Thursday, January 5, 2023. Celebration of Life Service will be held Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Griffin Mortuary Chapel. Interment will follow at the City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She leaves to cherish her memory; her husband, Johnny Salazar; two daughters, Stephanie Martinez and Sarah Torres; sisters, Aurelia, Rosa Lerma, and Carol; brothers, Pete Martinez, Albert Martinez, Gilbert Martinez, Rodrigo Martinez, Oscar Martinez, and George Martinez; six grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.

My hear is broken My Tia was only 8 years older than me so growing we were like sisters. I regret not having spent more time with her. I will miss her immensely. We should never take our close ones for granted. I pray for strength and peace to all who loved her.

Sylvia was our neighbor for so many years. She´s not just the neighbor she was our friend. She was a very nice person and always very helpful and giving , rest in peace my friend you will be missed.Condolences to all the family. Prayers lifted . From the Munoz Family(neighbor)
