Sylvio Bravetti

Sylvio (Syv) Bravetti Syv Bravetti was born June 30, 1943 in Attleboro, Mass. and died at the age 74 on April 6, 2018 in the presence of God, family and friends. Syv grew up and attended school in Mansfield, Mass (Class of '61) then joined the US Army at the age of seventeen and served for three years. After receiving his GED, he was honorably discharged at Fort Lewis, Wa. Then worked at the old Hygrade meat packing plant in Tacoma, WA. Soon after, using the GI Bill, he attended Central Washington University and graduated with his BA in Education. In 1995, Syv received his Certificate in Human Resources Management from the University of Washington. He retired as a Business Representative for the Machinist Union, District 160, Seattle Wash. Syv loved riding motorcycles and reading history books and the biographies and autobiographies of famous and prominent people. He was well versed on US Presidents and the civil war and loved to discuss current events. He was proud to be a Wash. State Clinton delegate in the 2008 and 2016 elections. His sense of humor was well appreciated by those who knew him. He liked to say that "I never met a microphone that I didn't like". His Boston accent was memorable to those who enjoyed his company. Syv is preceded in death by his son Nick and daughter Alissa and survived by sons Michael Bravetti in Orting, Wash, and Tony Bravetti and his wife Amanda in Brier, Wash. His grandchildren, Kodie Beau Bravetti, Vincent Cavallo Bravetti (Vinnie) and granddaughter Victoria Mae Bravetti (Vita) brought so much joy, happiness and pride that Syv loved and cherished them beyond words. Syv also leaves behind his close friends Kathy Johnson, Ruth Bravetti the mother of Michael and Tony, Sharon Voss and Dave (Tucci) and Mary Butcher, all of whom contributed to Syv's happiness and contentment. All his children, grandchildren and friends were his grand prize in life. Following cremation, private interment services will be conducted at Tahoma National Cemetery.
