A service at Mansfield crematorium chapel preceded cremation of Mr Terry Curtis (60), of Farndale Road, Sutton.
Born at Hucknall and educated there at Beardall Street School, Mr Curtis had lived locally for 20 years.
He had worked as a tailor's cutter and in management for S. Cormans, Hucknall, for 30 years, at Sengold at Kirkby for over a year, then at Daniel Hanson for a year before retiring due to ill health from Silver Edge in 2003 after seven years.
He enjoyed playing darts for the Horse and Groom at Linby, holidays abroad, eating out, shopping, computers, listening to music and walking.
Mr Curtis, who died at his home leaves his wife, Mrs Kathleen Curtis (known as Kate).

Donations in lieu of flowers are for Cancer Research UK and Macmillan Nurses. The service was conducted by the Rev K. Bottley, and arrangements were by K. Gregory & Sons Ltd.
