SEPOT, TALLY (VITALYA) Tally (Vitalya) Sepot, 19, went home to the Lord on September 27, 2015 as the result of a car accident in Charlestown, PA. Tally was part of a student group traveling from a Penn State University charity event for children with cancer. Daughter of Joe and Claudia Sepot she was born in New Haven on June 23, 1996. She was a very active student from her earliest days and was an avid swimmer and tennis player throughout her life. She was Captain of her tennis team in high school. Tally spent a summer in South America performing humanitarian service where she helped in the building of a school in Ecuador. She was a loved student at Pennsylvania State University where she was studying graphic design. At Penn State, a place Tally truly loved, she was engaged in multiple charity organizations and was a celebrated member of the Alpha Chi Omega Sorority. Tally was, and will continue to be, the sunshine of many lives. She was a patient and loving person with a passion for life and lived every day to the fullest, inspiring others to do as so as well. She was especially close with her family and enjoyed spending time with them at home. She felt a connection with the water and the sun and loved her summers in Branford, especially with the children she cared for as a young adult. Besides her parents, she leaves her sister, Nicole Letsinger, her brother, Sam, her paternal grandparents, Joseph and Joan Sepot of Fairfield, CT and many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and members of the Pine Orchard Community who will cherish her memory. She was predeceased by her maternal grandmother, Vitalya Pusvaskis. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Therese Church, Leetes Island Road, Branford, Friday at 10 AM. Burial will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery, Branford. Friends may call at the Keenan Funeral Home, 330 Notch Hill Road (Rte. 22 at Rte. 80), North Branford on Thursday from 4 to 8 PM. In lieu of flowers those wishing to do so, may make donations to: THON, or Penn State IFC/PanHellenic Dance Marathon, with indication that the gift is in memory of Tally Sepot, and sent to our office at the following address: THON 227D HUB University Park, PA 16802 Additionally there will be a Vigil at Branford High School on Wednesday evening at 8 PM. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Tally’s beautiful and amazing life. www.keenanfuneralhome.com.

I am so sorry to hear such sad news of your loss of Tally. I just heard of this or I would have shared personally that I have sweet memories of Tally in my 5th and 6th grade class I taught at WIS. She was filled with love and happiness which is a testament to your great love for her and the graces she received to give to others in need. I know her spirit will continue to reach out and touch others. Until you are all happily reunited for eternity with Our Lord, may the Lord minister to you in the way no one else can and keep you all full of life and close in your love for each other and in Him.

I pray, too, that Our Lady be with you daily to help you receive the peace that passes all understanding,

AS I SIT IN HEAVEN
AND WATCH YOU EVERYDAY
I TRY TO LET YOU KNOW WITH SIGNS
I NEVER WENT AWAY
I HEAR YOU WHEN YOU'RE LAUGHING
AND WATCH YOU AS YOU SLEEP
I EVEN PLACE MY ARMS AROUND YOU
TO CALM YOU AS YOU WEEP
I SEE YOU WISH THE DAYS AWAY
BEGGING TO HAVE ME HOME
SO I TRY TO SEND YOU SIGNS
SO YOU KNOW YOU ARE NOT ALONE
DON'T FEEL GUILTY THAT YOU HAVE
LIFE THAT WAS DENIED TO ME
HEAVEN IS TRULY BEAUTIFUL
JUST YOU WAIT AND SEE
SO LIVE YOU'RE LIFE, LAUGH AGAIN
ENJOY YOURSELF, BE FREE
THEN I KNOW WITH EVERY BREATH YOU TAKE
YOU'LL BE TAKING MINE FOR ME.

There are no words that seem appropriate. .. But there is prayer, family and love. That is what Tally was all about, prayer, family and love! I was blessed to had gotten to meet and know Tally as she was my student in her freshman Civ class at BHS. She was a bright, friendly and very sweet student. I was very proud to see her grow through the years and develop into the beautiful young woman she was. It is with deepest saddness that I write this and I send my heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, classmates and all who were lucky enough to have ever met such a beautiful young lady, beautiful both inside and out. I will never forget our 6th period Civ class and I will never forget such am amazing young woman. God be with you as you walk in Heaven looking and watching over all of us! God bless...

Mr & Mrs Sepot, my wife and I are so sorry at your loss. We were the first motorists at the scene and as a retired fireman, myself and three others tried to do what we could, CPR/first aid, for your daughter. I would like to extend my sincerest sympathies to the Sepot Family and all Tally's friends here in Branford and at Penn State. I had the honor of teaching Tally in CCD from 6th grade all the way through confirmation class in 10th grade. I have vivid memories of her begging me to please move her back to my class when she was taken out in 9th grade. Tally had been friends with my daughter, Leah, since grade school and it was very easy to convince those in charge that she belonged in my class for so many reasons. She used to tell me having me for a teacher was her motivation for taking these classes. In high school these kids had to come to this class on a Sunday evening when they really wanted to be home finishing homework or relaxing before the busy school week but Tally never complained. She always came to class with a smile on her face and a willingness to help get the class motivated to study religion. The biggest message I tried to pass on to all my students was a strong belief in God, in heaven, in life after death and the power of prayer. I know now, as I read many of their Facebook posts, that they were listening. They all talk about God getting a new angel and about finding peace in the knowledge they will see Tally again in the next life. I remember Tally in line, about to march into church the night of confirmation, nervous about the entire process, nervous she would forget to answer the Bishop correctly when he confirmed her, and I told her to just remember what a special young woman she was and how she had, at that young age, already started helping people in need. God was with her then as he is now. So many of the kids cannot understand how a life could be taken so soon and my answer is that if God needed another angel he picked the best of the best. Tally was a beautiful person on the inside and the outside and it was a real honor to have been her teacher through all those years of religious education. I know she is looking down at me and saying Donna you were right, there is a heaven and it is a glorious place and she will watch over her family and friends and she will be waiting for all of us when we make this journey. I hope Tally's family can find some peace in knowing that their daughter believed in God, in heaven and in the knowledge that we would all meet again after death. My grief is great but I rely on the peace of knowing she is already wearing her angel wings and I am so proud of the young woman she was and the life she lived. May God continue to watch over her family and friends and may Tally know how honored I am to have been a part of her life. I will miss her forever.
