Todd and family,

Just recently I learned of Tamar's passing from a mutual acquaintance, and I wanted to extend my sincere condolences to you all.

I remember Tamar very well from Taylor Allderdice (we were classmates, class of 1974), and I was indeed saddened to learn this, as I hadn't even known that she had been ill.

Our thoughts and prayers will be with you during this difficult time.

Dear Todd -

I was saddened and shocked after hearing of Tamar's passing. The response from the people in this guest book, the obituary and Kevin Miller's letter, depict Tamar as a woman who is loved by her husband, children and community. My prayers and thoughts are with you today.

I am deeply saddend to hear of this news. Tamar never seemed down, whenever we saw her. It is a real tribute to her valient outlook on life, and the love that she felt from her family and friends. She will be greatly missed at Winchester, and in the Real Estate community. Try to celebrate her life, and never feel shy about leaning on your devoted family, and us, your friends.
With love and sympathy,

Family & Friends of Tamar,

So many years have passed yet I still remember with fondness the dear sweet Tamar that I knew when we were adolescents. I understand that the loss is tragic for her family and friends and I hope at some point there will be some comfort to her loved ones in knowing that she made a difference in many lives that she touched across her years. Tamar will be remembered.

Dear Family of Tamar -- I couldn't believe what I was reading in the email from Coldwell Banker. I loved every interaction I had with Tamar, and I had no idea she was ill. Please accept my deepest sympathies for what must be an unimaginable loss. With warmest wishes . . .

Baums and Rosenfelds:

This is Harry Stein -- David Coleman just emailed me today (Dec 27) that his grandmother informed him of Tamar's passing away. We were very good and close friends through high school with the entire Baum family, who meant oh so much to me and to David, no doubt. I was blessed to know Tamar and the rest of the Baum family -- all so warm, loving, genuine, kind, and providing a deep friendship that made those emotionally challenging high school years not only bearable -- but fun and wonderful. I was and remain truly blessed to have know that entire family. Todd, although I never met you, I know you know what I speak of. Tamar was very special -- that indelible smile, her walk, and those beautiful eyes that gave everyone a glimpse into her warm and tender and loving heart. The passing of some 35 years can never change that as I am sure you, Todd, and your children know all too well.

From a distance, I am in prayer for everyone of you who are feeling the tremendous grief of losing a loved one. I am so sorry I have let all these years go by without getting in touch. My own family has had it's own set of challenges -- but I remain thankful to God for every waking moment and breath -- Life is so short and our good Lord can take us "like a thief in the night" -- noone knows what tomorrow brings. I hope and pray your all relationship with God puts you in a place right now where you can be comforted and consoled and where especially the Baums can remain close to Todd and Tamar/Todd's children as I am certain you will see a part of Tamar, through them.

God Bless you all and please send some family photos of all of you and Tamar and those kids -- this will be helpful in expressing my own grief and I would hope it could be the kindling of a friendship.

Love,

Harry Stein

My husband Steve and I were very lucky to meet Nadav and Nancy Baum while living in Pittsburgh - we also had the great opportunity to meet Todd and Tamar, who lived only a block from us in Shadyside. Tamar was such a wonderful, positive woman, who just glowed when she talked about her husband, Todd and her children. My heart goes out to the Baum and Rosenfeld families - she will be truly missed, but will live on in our memories forever.

I remember Tamar from high school. She was always so kind and full of spirit. I did not see her for many years until my daughter Marsha befriended Jordana through Gemini theatre. I escorted Marsha to Jordana's Bat Mitzvah just last year. It was a beautiful affair and the first that I knew of Tamar's illness. Our thoughts are with you during this sad time.
