Tammy lost her life on Friday, July 11, 2025, in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was hit by a car on Tropicana Avenue near the Las Vegas Strip. She was 50 years old.
Tammy was a wonderful person who made friends with everyone. She was always happy and full of joy. Her strongest quality was her strength and confidence in life.
Tammy was born in New Jersey on October 5th, 1974. She graduated from Paul VI High School in Haddonfield, NJ. Tammy moved to Las Vegas in 1997, where she worked in the casino industry. She married Justin May in 2003. She was the daughter of Christina Giacobbe, Dominick Giacobbe, and Thomas Drummond. Survived by her children, Chelsea Giacobbe, Justin May, Katie May-Salas, her husband, Oscar Salas, and her grandchildren, Nova Salas and Bentley Salas. Other surviving family members are her sister, Kimberly Giacobbe-Barsky, and brother, Dominick Giacobbe.
Tammy was a 4th-degree Black Belt Master of Tang Soo Do Korean Karate. She began her training at the age of 5 and was the champion of many National Karate Championships, including those for weapons and forms.
Tammy loved the Philadelphia Eagles football team. She attended games from when she was five years old and was an expert at understanding the game. One of the greatest moments in her life was seeing the Eagles win the Super Bowl.
The funeral Mass and celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Simon Stock, 178 W. White Horse Pike, Berlin, NJ.
