Tanya Downing Obituary
Born in Concord, New Hampshire she had recently relocated and was residing with her family in Punta Gorda Isles.
Tanya loved music, animals, working as a cosmetologist, spending time with family and friends, and especially being Auntie to her niece Abigail.
She was the beloved daughter of father, George Downing; mother, Dorinda Downing; and step-mother, Sandra Downing.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in New Hampshire.

Tanya was the sister that I never had, we were friends for many years she was by my side through the good and bad. She has a contagious smile that would melt your heart. I miss her everyday day.

I am just finding out about this and I´m a lost for words. I meet Tanya in 1995. I went into the military the following year and over the years we would reconnect and then life took us other directions. We were talking again before this tragedy. I thought we lost contact again. She was a very special person and has touched many hearts in her time. I will miss you and hope to see you again.

Well, I saw a different side of your daughter. I meet her in downtown Manchester NH. I spoke to her about her work. Her response was I would like to make people feel better about themselves. Because of my connection, Tanya was in involved in helping homeless her doing hair and makeup and me arranging housing. I went to Mexico and lot tough an ugg.

George and Dorinda, I am sooo sorry for your loss.. Tanya was a special friend to my son Jason. My wife and I had many good times with them and we all loved her.. I was so blessed to have met Tanya! We had so much fun together. We made each other laugh and then she do her little snort as she's laughing. I deeply miss her! My heart is broken..My son Wesley loved Tanya and fully enjoyed the time spent with her. Tanya is in heaven now and we'll see her again. I love you Tanya, Wesley loves you! Words can't describe the feeling in my gut since I found out. Dorinda and George i know there is nothing I can say to make things better but if there is anything I can do in any way let me know... Im still in shock over finding out that you are no longer here on earth with us. George, Sandra, and the rest of the Downing family, I am so sorry to hear of Tanya's tragic passing. She was my first real partner-in-crime, and the memories I have of us tubing like maniacs on Lake Winnipesaukee, jumping our bikes off dirt mounds, and walking the train tracks down to the South Down beach house to buy hot chocolate out of a rickety old machine are some of the most fun of my childhood! She made a little bit of a rebel out of the goody-two-shoes that I was, and I'll never forget her for that. My heartfelt prayers are with you all.
