Ive thought for days what I wanted to say but I just cant find the words. Friends for over 10 years and adopting each other families as our own I have so many stories, so many precious memories, so many laughs and cries.
We would literally just bounce from each others house. Once our parents got sIck of us we would go back to the others. There were times I would come home from work and Taylor would be sitting with my parents on the couch or sleeping in my bed. She loved my dad and his stories. My parents loved her, so much. She sat at the hospital for almost 24 hours while I was in labor, I actually had to tell her she had to go it was time to push but she came right back in and was one of the first people to hold my baby girl. She of course then asked me for her hospital bracelet and hat and all kinds of other stuff and true taylor made me a shadow box.
Vacations, car rides with no destination but just listening to music and laughing, sleepovers and everything else that best friends do together, we did. We grew apart over the last couple years but a few months before Taylor passed we had a conversation about how no matter we are best friends and love each other and are always there for each other even if we dont talk as much as we did. Shes still with me, I feel her.. when I get in the car a song that has a memory attached to it comes on the radio and I smile. I miss her so much. ❤

Tay was one of the best people that I have ever met and I am honored to be able to call her one of my best and longest friends. Such a sweet, fun loving hippie born in the wrong era. We had chorus class together and our friendship started because I randomly asked her one day if she wanted to drive to wheeling with me to look for homecoming dresses. So our first hangout was a fun road trip to wheeling blasting music and singing. That was just the first of many car rides we shared through the years. She loved music and really listened to the words and meaning behind every song and always had a new song to share with me. Anytime I hear certain songs, or see tie dye or peace signs I am always reminded of her. I have the same few songs I play on repeat and think of her and even though I cant see her I know she is looking down still singing along with me.

Taylor, "You are my sunshine, my only sunshine
You make me happy when skies are gray
You'll never know dear, how much I love you
Please don't take my sunshine away"
The first song we ever sang together when you were only 2, and continued to for 24 years.
My sunshine now and forever. I love you, Taylor.
Love, Mamaw

The loss of a cherished loved one is one of the most traumatic events that we may face in life. However the Bible speaks of a time in the near future when we can see them again. John 6:40
