As too often happens, I only wish I had spent more time knowing Ted in my adult life. He was kind enough to get me an interview with JP during a tough stretch of job searching. Upon actually securing employment in the Piedmont Triad and moving here in 2005, we unfortunately did not keep up despite being within a few miles of each other. One can only have a high degree of respect for a man strong enough to endure very limited resources as a child to pay for and put himself through school while working full time as well as support a family in pursuit of being a full actuary. Sandra hit the nail on the head expressing how strong Ted was, yet he was always very humble in his treatment of others. Those are truly the strong. Ted will be sorely missed, but find comfort that God has called him to a wonderful existence in the afterlife.

Holy Spirit, who comforts us all: be with the Frye family as they experience sorrow and misery. Be their Comforter. Stay with them. Keep them mindful of Christ, as He shed tears over His loved ones in the pain of death. Lord, hear our prayers. Amen.
