Ted Ren Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on May 4, 2025.
Ted Worth Ren, 92, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2025, in Snohomish, Washington. Born on December 15, 1932, in Everett, Washington, Ted lived a full and accomplished life marked by service, innovation, and deep devotion to those he held dear.

Ted graduated from Snohomish High School in 1950. Shortly after graduation, he answered the call to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Navy. He served with honor for four years, laying the foundation for a lifetime of discipline and dedication.

Following his military service, Ted began a long and successful career in engineering. He first worked at Boeing before moving on to Western Gear, where he specialized in designing large-scale machinery. His work reflected both his technical skill and his passion for building things that mattered. Ted remained with Western Gear until his retirement.

Ted's personal life was enriched by his marriage to Beverly Myrtle Ren. Together they shared many adventures and joys. They traveled extensively and found great happiness sailing together on their sailboat. Ted was a devoted husband who cherished Beverly deeply; those who knew them often remarked on the strength of their bond.

A man of many interests, Ted held a pilot's license and loved flying. When he wasn't able to take to the skies himself, he built and flew radio-controlled planes with equal enthusiasm. He also enjoyed puzzles of all kinds-an interest that reflected his sharp mind and love for problem-solving.

Ted is remembered with affection by his stepdaughter and son-in-law Donita and Dennis Schacklin; stepsons and daughters-in-law Bob and Darcy Brown, Ted and Linda Brown; and stepson David Brown.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Beverly Myrtle Ren; his parents Alvin Ren and Alice Mae Ren; and his brothers Vern Ren and Don Ren.

A memorial service TBD.

May Ted's memory bring comfort to those who knew him and serve as a lasting tribute to a life well lived.
