TENA DUECK Obituary
It has come with some expectancy yet with sadness that the family of Tena Dueck announces her passing on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Spruce Manor in Dalmeny, Sask. Tena was born in Rhineland, Sask. and later moved to Saskatoon. There she met and married Richard Dueck in August of 1952. Together, they raised their seven children until Richard's untimely death in May of 1976. There are fond and cherished memories of Tena (mom) by her children: Phil (Deanne), their children Graham, Shauna and Jonathon; Rod (Barbara), their children Trevor and Carissa; Kathy (Stan), their children Marilee, Richard and Lori; Bob (Yvonne) their children Shari and Josh; Eunice (Justin), their children Taryn and Donavon; Ken; Cheryl (Shawn), their children Sarah, Rachel and Luke and 16 great- grandchildren. Tena continued to lavish kindness and love on her children in the years that she was widowed. She continually cherished the grandchildren that came to see her in her later years as well. The family wants to express their appreciation to the staff at Spruce Manor for their compassionate care in the last years of mother's life. This certainly made a difference to her quality of life. A memorial service for celebrating Tena's life is tentatively planned for Friday, November 29 at 1:00 pm, Westgate Alliance Church.

My heartfelt sorrow goes out to you Ken & your family at this time. I only met your Mom a couple times and found her to be such a lovely & caring woman. You have been such a special loving son for many years to your Mom. She's been a big part of your life for a long time and now I hope those cherished memories you shared with her will help at this difficult time. She is now at peace & no more suffering and I hope this helps you deal with the loss just a little easier. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family.

Words cannot express the sorrow I am feeling. I have many wonderful memories of Aunt Tina and the many times our family visited and played with the Dueck family . Our prayers and sympathy goes out to all the Dueck children and their families . May God uphold and protect you in his hands.

To Phil and family. My sincere condolences on the passing of your Mom. I remember her well from the years I spent in Saskatoon and attended Westgate Alliance...I know you will all miss her. Praying that God gives you His peace and comfort at this time. We rejoice that the loved ones we part with are in Heaven with the Lord but that does not stop us from missing their earthly presence.

Mom D gave me the gift of friendship that I will cherish. Even though I didn't know her long she quickly became a "must" in my life. Visiting her brought me joy and peace. Thank you Ken for sharing your Mom with me. She was a special gift and will be forever missed. Count your blessings name them one by one.
