Teodoro Gandara Jr. Obituary
Teodoro Gandara Jr. entered eternal rest on March 26th, 2022 in San Antonio, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents Teodoro Gandara Sr. And Guadalupe Gandara, brothers Gamaliel, Alfredo and Manuel Gandara, mother in law Dora Marquez. He is survived by his wife and love of his life of 47 years, Sylvia Gandara; sons, Teodoro Gandara III and Jeremy Gandara, siblings, Enrique Gandara, Cruzita Morales (Mike), Diana Garcia, Robert Gandara, and Anabelle Lozano (Mario), sister-in-law, Ninfa Gandara, 9 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and lastly his furry friend, Benji. To know Ted was to love him, with his infectious smile and his silly jokes. He was a faithful servant of God and a co-pastor at I.E.C Family Worship Center. He centered his life around God, family, and work, and always made time to throw in some scripture to anyone he'd come across, a man after God's own heart. He stood firm on his faith and to us, he was our Superman. As he always resorted back to, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways, acknowledge that he is Christ and He shall direct your path". A wise man, you could say. We will miss him dearly, but his memory will forever live on.
Visitation will be held Friday, April 1, 2022, from 2:00 PM till 9:00 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at the Hurley Funeral Home Chapel. Celebration of life will be Saturday, April 2, 2022, at 10:00 AM at the IEC Family Worship Center, 516 W. Colorado St. Pearsall, with interment to follow in Pearsall Veterans Cemetery.

My deepest condolences to the Gandara Family. Ted was a great man, to know Ted was to know of his wife Sylvia because he always spoke so highly of her. You cant help to fall in love with their love story because the way he spoke of it. Ted was so sweet, fatherly, always their if you needed a hand, always had something good to say about anyone and everyone. The past five years of my life, Ted would set the tone every morning without fail to start it with "Good morning everybody", always with a smile and ready to take on the day, he never once complained and always looked at the positive side. He liked to joke around, after being asked "what time today, Ted" he would say " oh man, I say 830a" when we still had the whole day. I finally got in his "circle" and he gave me permission to call him "Papo". I can go on and on, so many stories that he would tell us. He blessed us with so many good memories and laughs. Ted you will be dearly missed not everyone is blessed to have someone in their life as great as you and I was lucky and very blessed to have worked and know you. Thank you for always being the great man that you were. RIP Ted (Papo).

Dear family of Teodoro Gandara Jr...I am so sorry for the loss of your beloved Ted. It was my pleasure to meet and work with Ted for many years at the US Federal building in SAT. After my retirement, Ted kept in touch by calling me just to say “How are you doing?” and to let me know he was keeping me in his prayers”. He was that kind of a rare breed. He will be missed and loved by many. RIP Ted. ❤

My Condolences to Sylvia and all of Ted's family, he was truly a great guy he will be missed by all, I still remember Ted and and his brother Robert and a whole bunch of us guys getting together on Sundays and playing tackle football at Birdie Garza's big field, those were the good ole days.
