Terayl "Terry" Ann Johnson (nee Cutler), age 78, a resident of Royal Oak, MI passed away surrounded by family on March 28, 2025.

Born May 6, 1946, in Clearfield, PA, Terayl was the beloved daughter of the late Allen Cutler and Eva Audrey Cutler. Terayl was the older sister of the late Dawn Georg and Roger Cutler (Pam). Terayl was married to the late Dennis Johnson Sr. and to her surviving former husband, Andrew Hermann. She is survived by her children: Andrea Halas (Brian), Elizabeth Sandzik (Luke), Jennifer Knode (Mike), and Karl Hermann (Tamara). She was deeply loved by her grandchildren: Casey, Mary, Adam, Katie, Jacob, Emma, Dylan, Andrei and was also loved by many stepchildren and step-grandchildren.Terayl also leaves behind her cherished cat, Tinker Bell, who brought her comfort and companionship.

Terayl proudly served in the United States Navy as a WAVE Hospital Corpsman, where she was stationed at Bethesda Naval Hospital in Bethesda, Maryland. In recognition of her outstanding service, she was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and received a Letter of Appreciation for her contributions in Neuropsychiatric care. Her dedication, compassion, and exceptional performance also earned her a nomination for Outstanding Hospital Corpswave. After staying home for a short time to raise her children, Terayl continued her commitment to helping others by working in the medical field until her retirement.

During her residence at Royal Oak Manor, she devoted her time to volunteering as President & Vice President. She was helpful and caring and formed numerous friendships during her time there. She will be warmly remembered, especially by her close friend Mary, whose companionship meant a great deal to her.

She cherished spending time with loved ones during the holidays, traveling up north, backyard barbecues, reading and coloring. She took great pleasure in watching the Detroit Lions and Tigers.

Following cremation, her remains will be entrusted to the family for private disposition.
