Teresa Andersen Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Sep. 10 to Sep. 11, 2011.
Teresa H. (Sadowsky) Andersen, 63, passed away Thursday, September 8, 2011, in the UMass Memorial Medical Center, University Campus. She leaves her high school sweetheart and husband of 43 years, Albert S. Andersen; her beloved daughter and son-in-law, Tarsha and Chuck Stone of Worcester; her sister, Frances Schnare of Chicopee; her brother, Joseph Sadowsky of Ludlow; and several cousins, nieces & nephews. She also leaves her beloved kitties, Jax, Floyd, and Maisey; and her dog, Navy. Her sister, Margaret Decker, and nephew, Randy Decker, predeceased her.

Teresa was born in Worcester, a daughter of Margaret Bullens and Joseph P. Sadowsky. She was a graduate of Burncoat High School and a member of St. George Roman Catholic Church. She worked at UMass Medical Center in the mail room and was a hairdresser and salon owner. Teresa loved to travel and was a loyal New England Patriots and Red Sox fan. She loved spending time with her daughter in Florida where they vacationed each year together. Teresa always put other's needs before her own and supported many charities throughout her life. She loved her home and her animals. She was taken too soon and will be dearly missed.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday, September 14, from 5-8 p.m. at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, Worcester. The funeral will be held from the funeral home on Thursday, September 15, with a 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. George Roman Catholic Church, 38 Brattle St., Worcester. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice or flowers may be sent.

To Al and Tasha,
A sweeter, more considerate person never lived. Whenever I think of Terri I think of a person who never spoke a harsh word about anyone (except me when she would be cold at UMASS). I've known her for 40+ years and it was always a pleasure to talk with her, especially about the good old days. I will remember her fondly and often.

I really haven't seen Teresa in quite a while, but we were inseparable in high school...we were best friends who lost touch thru the years, but i will never forget the fun we had together...i will always love her...she was the best..

Tarsha, I can't find any words to say to comfort you...losing a Mom is such a deep loss for a daughter. I lost mine 25 years ago and still miss her constantly. Both of us had very close relationships with our Moms and you will have wonderful memories of laughs and loves; but it will be a deep loss. You will also make a wonderful Mom because of your bond with your own Mom.
