July 25, 1949 — August 31, 2020 Teresa Mae Nye (McDonald) of Saint Paul, MN, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home, overlooking the river and nature areas she loved so much. Her gracious and loving spirit will always provide precious memories to those who were blessed to know her. She is survived by sons Aaron and Nate (Alisha); grandsons Harrison and Thomas; and ex-husband Bill. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Marie McDonald; brother Tom; and sister Patsy. I’m so very sad about Terri’s passing and my heart goes out to her family. Terri and I worked together at Saint Mary's Univ. and were friends for the past 12 years. We would meet for breakfast or lunch and enjoyed going to movies and plays together.

She kept me updated on how Aaron and Nate & Alisha were doing, and especially loved to show me photos of Harrison and baby Thomas. I greatly admired Terri for the many years of weekly volunteer work that she did in her retirement.

The last time I saw Terri was on June 30 at Highland Café, her favorite eatery where the wait staff all seemed to know her. We were looking forward to the reopening of movie theaters once COVID restrictions allowed it. I was moving in late July and we said we'd get together after I got settled. But Terri passed away on August 31.

Rest in peace, my dear friend! I miss you, but someday we’ll meet again on the other side of the rainbow bridge.
