Terry Hardman

Terry Henry Hardman was born on October 6, 1938, to Henry and Grace Williams Hardman in Midvale, Utah. He passed away peacefully on March 5, 2025, in Riverton, Utah, surrounded by his children and grandchildren.

On April 16, 1960, Terry married Gaylene Yvonne Jensen in Evanston, Wyoming. Together, they built a loving home and raised two children, Mick (Karen) Hardman and Wendy (Troy) Jensen. Their family grew to include five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, all of whom he cherished deeply. After 50 years of marriage, Terry experienced the profound loss of Gaylene.

In 2016, Terry found love again and married Bernice Butterfield on January 21. Bernice had previously lost her husband, Hyrum Butterfield, in 2006. Terry and Hyrum had been lifelong friends, and Bernice's children-Scott, Georgette, Linda, and Michelle-had long known Terry as a presence in their lives. As a stepfather, he was kind and supportive, embraced as family from the very beginning.

Terry was a man of integrity, kindness, and quiet strength. He cared deeply for those around him and ensured that everyone felt valued. His devotion to Bernice was evident in the way he treated her-with tenderness and appreciation. Whether tending to his yard, remembering birthdays, or expressing gratitude for even the smallest gestures, Terry's meticulous nature reflected his deep love for others.

He leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion. In addition to his children and grandchildren, Bernice and her family mourn his passing while cherishing the time they shared with him. His memory will remain a source of comfort and inspiration to all who knew him.

A viewing for the Butterfield family and friends will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on March 11, 2025, at Goff Mortuary, 8090 South State St., Midvale, Utah. There will be no funeral service preceding.
