Dr. Terry H. Peters
(August 30, 1938 -
May 10, 2014)

Dr. Terry Peters, age 75, a local chiropractor, passed from this life on May 10, 2014 after a long illness. Dr. Peters was born in Pocatello, Idaho, the second child of eight to Joe T. and Leola Peters (née Kleusner) August 30, 1938. A graduate of Texas Chiropractic School in 1967, Dr. Peters practiced in Amarillo, Fredericksburg, and San Antonio for over 40 years.
He is survived by wife of 29 years, Geraldine "Gerri" Iruegas-Peters, daughter, Debra Hernandez, sons, Ted and Dr. David Peters, stepdaughter, Katherine Martinez; 7 siblings: MaryJo Monroe, Dr. Frank Peters, Judy Swirzcynski, Susie Bubeck, Danny Peters, Rick Peters, and Mark Peters; 5 grandchildren: David Dale, Derek, Ashlee, Christian, and John as well as numerous relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, niece, Amanda, and brother-in-law, Alan Monroe.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Hugo Muzza, Meridian Care, and Odyssey-Gentiva Hospice for the loving care provided during his illness.

Viewing is on Sunday, May 18, 2014, 6-9 pm at FuneralCaring Northeast, 6500 IH35 North, 78218, adjacent to Alamo City Christian Fellowship Church.
Funeral services will be Monday, May 19, 2014, at 12:00 noon, at Cornerstone Church, 18755 Stone Oak Parkway, 78258 in the Vada Hagee Chapel. A funeral procession will follow to Ft. Sam Houston.

Dr. Terry was a healer whose life crossed mine in the early 1970s in Amarillo, Texas. It is with a heavy heart that I am just now paying my profound word of sadness. My life was touched by this Godly man who shared the wonders of life, healing, and our hereafter. Blessing to all of you in the Peters family.
