Dear Schaffer family,
I knew Terry from Zion School and Marengo high school. He always said he wanted to be a meteorologist and I watched his awesome success through the years. What a guy!
He will be missed.

Terry was a great meteorologist , he always had the time to tell how much rain to expect. I missed seeing him around the Ag. Office after he retired. May he rest in peace.

Dear Schaeffer Family,
My condolences and prayers for you all in this time. I can definently say that coach inspired many of us throughout our lives during the days at SPHS. He was one of the best coaches I had while there devoting time to all of us whether it was long long distance runs, building a pole vault pit at the track, or the pre-race spaghetti nights at your house. I think all can say his life was spent very well; encouraging others, bettering the community, and building an incredible family. GodBless Coatch, get those Angels to keep their elbows in when they're running up there for ya

Dear Mary and Family, I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Terry. I knew him through the National Weather Service as a fellow Agricultural Meteorologist. Terry was a man of integrity, generosity and had a genuine sense of service to his fellow man. I hope my wishes and the wishes of so many who knew him and will miss him can sustain you in this time of need. Best Wishes.

Dear Mary and family,
I am proud to have been one of the many fortunate young men that Coach Schaeffer took under his wing as a cross country/track coach. He taught me to always give my best effort. He coached, mentored, and molded me and many others to become better men, fathers, and productive citizens. And although it was only for 5 years, I will never forget him and all of the life-lessons he taught me. Coach Schaeffer, you will be forever missed.

Dear Mary,
When I first moved to Ventura, Terry and you reached out and made me feel welcome. For that I will always be grateful. Terry's efforts to build community through fellowship and shared meals, along with his commitment to Rotary and other worthy causes, made him a hero in my book. He was a special person and his impact will continue to be felt for years to come.
