Terry Yohey Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 30, 2025.
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Terry Lee Yohey of Fallon Nevada peacefully departed this life on July 12, 2025, at Renown Hospital after a short but courageous battle with cancer.

She was born in Reno Nevada on 1 July 1952 to Joseph and Margaret Norcross. Terry was a proud graduate from Reno High School. She met and married her beloved husband, Mike, in Reno on December 20, 1969. In 1977, they moved to Fallon, where they raised three girls on their ranch, a place she called home until her passing.

Terry and Mike were adventurers who loved to travel exploring numerous countries across the globe. Terry's favorite was Ireland which she visited four times. Terry had a passion for deep sea fishing, reeling in a tuna weighting 125 pounds in Hawaii. In her younger years, she enjoyed big game hunting. She delighted in motor coach trips with her husband and her many vacations with the women of her family. Don't ever interrupt her during NASCAR racing or soap operas, or she would give you the eye roll and "shh". Terry was known for her infectious laugh and her love of entertaining and cooking for family and friends.

Terry was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a cherished granny. For 31 years she worked at Raley's, where her radiant smile was a constant. She deeply valued her friends and will be missed profoundly by all who knew or met her.

Terry was proceeded in death by her parents, her sister Karen and her youngest daughter Courtney. She is survived by her devoted husband of 55 years Mike, and her two daughters, Yvonne (Troy) Shores and Jenny (Robert) Morton; and her 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Service will be held at Oasis Community Church, 1520 South Main Street, Fallon, NV on 23 Aug 2025 at 1:00 p.m. officiated by Pastor Caleb Szymanski. A meal will be served immediately after the service.
