Ted was an amazing person. As a teacher, he encouraged all of us to keep trying in capturing our creativity. He seldom criticized you or your art. After high school, I took other art courses, but none of those teachers came close to Ted and his inspiring nature. If Ted saw some way you could improve your work, he was never be critical. Ted would say, "Let´s try something different here!" This was so helpful and it showed his beautiful heart. He will be greatly missed.

As one of the West Volusia Plein Air artists, I have known Ted for 2 years. I always looked forward to this 8:00 Sunday morning message on my phone: "Art in the park tomorrow ?" followed by the usual bamboo- clinking replies from fellow members.
Ted was a gracious, generous person, always paying homage to his natural surroundings with his glowing, atmospheric watercolors of Gemini Springs, our locale for at least the last two years.
As a group, I think we all share his fascination with the rarified air, and the endless shades of green, as much as this little guy(see photo) who showed up last Monday, missing Ted. (Photo by Pat Kruger).

Ted and I painted together for a number of years. I found him to be a gifted artist and a great friend. One of my favorite things to do with Ted was to get him talking about his time teaching art to high schoolers. They must have a been a very fortunate group because the projects, ideas and experiments he did with them were wonderful. I had trained in art education and had never heard of anyone being that involved and creative in their teaching. Oh how I will miss Ted on Mondays when we gather to do plein air painting. Ted you will live on in our hearts.

I haven´t known Ted as long as many of you. I joined his.West Volusia Plein Air group, that met at Gemini Springs in DeBary, just a few years ago. Ted was such an amazing watercolorist and a giving individual. He shared so much of his gift with us each time we got together. I learned so much from him. I will miss him. RIP dear, Ted.

Am one of his classmates from Cathedral grade and high school. If I remember correctly he was my prom date, no lie. We were a family the class of '67 and even though none of us was perfect we enjoyed our time together in class, around the neighborhood, and attending school functions. Haven't seen him in years as I was unable to attend lots of class reunions---being in the Navy crimps lots of get togethers but I remember the great times, fun we had at our family's get togethers and just being together.

Ted was so kind hearted! I would see him often as a kid when my dad would help with building theater sets and then I had art class with him at DeLaSalle! He really helped further my love for art! We visited him once in Florida and he showed us around and we had a great time! He will be missed!

Ted was such a creative and generous soul! He gave up countless spring breaks to help chaperone our music tours at DeLaSalle. Ted created so many amazing sets for the De Theater, I think his favorite set was "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat." It was common to see graffiti back stage saying "Ted is God!"
