Thelma B. Bishop, 94, our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother passed away peacefully Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2009.Service is 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, at Eleventh Avenue Church in Mineral Wells. Burial will follow in Staggs Prairie Cemetery.Thelma was born Feb. 12, 1915, and was the devoted wife of Robert Cagle Bishop for over 65 years. He preceded her in death on Feb. 20, 1996. She was devoted to her church and family and always placed the happiness and needs of others before her own. She is deeply loved and will be missed by her family and all whose lives were touched and enriched just by knowing her.Mrs. Bishop is survived by five children, Robert Earl Bishop and wife, Judy, Linda Suzette Jones and husband, Robert, Sandra Kay Barnard and husband, Dale, Michael Wayne Bishop and wife, Janet, Sharon Ann Clary and husband, James; and numerous grandchildren, great- and great-great-grandchildren.The family is eternally grateful to the staff of Holland Lake Nursing Center and Alpha Omega Hospice for the love and care they provided Mrs. Bishop over the past 18 months.Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home
