I was so sorry to hear of Thelma's passing today. I had been calling her for months. She was a very special woman. Very independent and very pleasant, loved to talk. She had an amazing memory too! She loved her son's!

I last saw Thelma Greene at Ester Soper's funeral. Thelma was beautiful and spunky. Although I met her only a few times, I knew she was a unique, strong woman and admired her far afar. My sympathy to her family.

I will never forget her amazing spirit and infectious smile and laugh. She was one of my grandmother Ester Soper's best friends and an amazing person. I was always happy to be around Thelma Greene.

Please accept my sincere sympathies. May God's holy spirit, or active force, equip you with power beyond what is normal to go from one day to the next. (2 Corinthians 4:7) Remember: God can help his faithful servants to endure any and every problem they may face.

Some of my fondest memories are sitting in the kitchen with MomMom (Thelma) while she cooked our Saturday night spaghetti (PopPop's favorite). Spaghetti, salad, and PopPop's Pepperidge Farm rolls were always the Saturday night special. We would talk and laugh while the kids played, checked out her rooster collection, sat at her big mirror to try on her make-up and jewelry, or worked in PopPop's workshop with him. Those, along with the holidays, were always a special time and I'll carry them in my heart always. Love you, Mom!
