Thelma Houston Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 1, 2015.

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister, Teddie Houston, painlessly and peacefully passed away on March 12, 2015 in her home in Yuba City, CA.

She was born July 14, 1941 to Thelma and Todd Johnson. Teddie graduated from Palo Alto High School. She was a homemaker for her family and an interior designer.

Teddie is predeceased by her husband Ed and her son Todd. She is survived by her son Glenn (wife Sarah) Houston; her grandchildren Daniel, Naomi, Joseph and Angela Houston and her sister, Theila Culbertson.

Most importantly, Teddie was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her wit, uniqueness and generosity were unequaled. She tirelessly cared for her husband; she patiently cared for her two sons; and she doted on her grandchildren, who made her glow. She will always be remembered for her lavish dinner parties and giving her grandkids whatever they wanted. She will be missed more than words can describe.

In lieu of flowers, she requested that donations be made to The Smile Train.

Teddie will be SO missed by ALL her tennis friends!!! She was a great person and an awesome cook! Went to a few dinners at her home... She never sat down... She told us to enjoy dinner and that she will just "hover" over us!! Such a classy lady! Loved hearing all her Beverly Hills stories!!
RIP our friend! Louie and Patty Ramirez
