Thelma was a Skingle. If you're a Skingle, you know how special that is. We first met "Tel" when she moved to CA as a young teacher. We have such a host of special memories over the years with Thelma and Chuck--especially camping trips. They always made us laugh until tears rolled and we had to hold our sides. Oh, how so many will miss you. Thanks for the fun memories............

To the Hughes/Bringle Family
You were always more than a cousin to me, so I always called you "Aunt" Tel. You were a very special person to me, and as I got older we became even closer. I miss you very much. We always had so much fun. Love you , Bunny

To Thel's Family, I met Thel and Chuck in 1961 when they lived in Merced, Ca. We became very good friends. They also helped me find a job when I visited them in Sacramento in 1964. After they moved to L.A we lost contact. When she first returned to Sacramento we reunited and then lost contact again. She was such a wonderful, kind and thoughtful person, I thought of her often. I am so sorry that I was unaware of her illness or her passing. Please accept my condolenses at this time. Sincerely, Jean Gahan

I will never forget when Thelma came to California and stayed w/ our family. John lived w/ us too. She was my "much older cousin". I was there when she met Chuck, at our house, when he came over to measure for drapes......I love you Thelma!

Aunt Thelma was a most special lady. She enriched the lives of so many. Yes, she will be deeply missed.
It's difficult to say goodbye, but now she will be with Uncle Chuck!

Our family was very blessed to have had Thelma as a part of it. For many of us, she was a large part of what makes the family memories special. In all the roles she filled, she was loving, kind, generous, and faithful. The void she leaves and the sorrow we feel is a measure of the major part she played in all our lives.

Her father gave a talk at a funeral 40 years ago based on the quote, "He will be missed, for his seat will be vacant." So will she. Families move on, change, and grow, but her place can never be filled.
