Theodore Clime Obituary

Theodore 'Ted' R. Clime, age 84, of Collins and formerly of West Clarksfield, died Thursday night, September 20, 2007 at Gaymont Nursing Home, Norwalk after a long illness. He was born July 29, 1923 in Cleveland, Ohio, son of the late George and Helen (Otto) Clime. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Mr. Clime had worked for the City of Norwalk, the Norfolk - Western Railroad, the Lorain Shipyard, the former Clevite Co. in Milan and retired from Ford in Avon. He was a member of the Rat Patrol in Clarksfield and a lifetime member of the Fitchville Conservation Club. Mr. Clime had also managed and coached little league in New London and he enjoyed bowling. He is survived by 3 sons, Theodore Robert (Joy) Clime of Collins, Robert (Pamela) Clime of New London and James Clime of Wakeman; a daughter, Catherine (Larry) Burdue of Norwalk; 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; a brother, Alan Bruce Clime of Alaska; a sister, Mary Elizabeth Butler of Michigan. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Clime in 2001. Friends may call from 2 - 4 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m., Thursday, September 27, 2007 at the Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main St., New London where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 28 with Pastor Charles Mead officiating. Burial will follow at Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron. Memorials if desired may be given to Stein Hospice, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, Ohio 44870.
