Theodore "Ted" Skoletsky, 89; November 22,1931 - February 28, 2021; of Holland, PA passed away peacefully on February 28, 2021. He was born in Brooklyn, NY, son of the late Lou and Mary (Kushner) Skoletsky and grew up in Chelsea, MA. While stationed at Fort Dix, he was set up on a blind date and on February 6, 1955, he married the love of his life Carole Lehman and was happily married for 66 years. Ted is survived by his beloved wife and 5 children, Steven (Mary Jane), Bruce (Robin), Gary (Carmen), Brian (Beth) and Melissa Pettigrew (Chris Shank) 14 grandchildren Jaclyn and Landon Skoletsky; Katie and Ryan Skoletsky; Elzabeth and William Skoletsky; Taylor, Madeline and Alexandra Skoletsky and Logan, Gavin, Brayden, Melayna and Taliya Pettigrew; as well as a great granddaughter Marleigh Bracken. He is also survived by his brother Philip (Annette) sister in-law Mindy Heymann, several nieces and nephews and preceded in death by his siblings Bernard and Sandra. Ted was a U.S. Army veteran who honorably served during the Korean War as a medical technician. In 1954 he graduated from Northeastern University School of Pharmacy and began his career as a licensed pharmacist in the Trenton, NJ area. For over 40 years he worked at several local pharmacies ending his career with CVS. He thoroughly enjoyed his co-workers and all the customers he served. Ted was always ready and available to assist others in providing solutions to any questions or concerns, always with a big smile. He was an avid sports fan and a fanatic Philadelphia sports fan! He loved playing golf and in his younger years, going to local horse racing parks with friends and family. Spending time with his family at the Jersey Shore was always an annual highlight for him. He touched so many lives with his quick wit and dry sense of humor; his expert advice on supporting medical needs, great storytelling of sporting events and being kind to all. He loved to show his unique moves on the dance floor at family events and had a joyous laugh that filled the room. He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him. Relatives and friends are invited to graveside services on Tuesday (3/2/21), 9:30 AM, Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, PA. A memorial service will follow, limited to 50 guests, at 11:00AM, Joseph Levine & Sons, 4737 Street Road, Trevose, PA. The chapel service may be viewed online by clicking the "Funeral Webcam" button at www.levinefuneral.com. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Salvation Army.

We will always remember the good times we had over the years. Our visits with Ted and Carole in Maine and the Jersey Shore are the most memorable and enjoyable times of our lives. We always were welcome at Ted's and enjoyed his company.. Teddy will be greatly missed . May his memory be for a blessing forever.

Rest in peace, Uncle Teddy, I'll always remember how tall you stood, and the warmth in your voice and heart.

The most important thing I can say is that I can think of nothing but happy things when I think about Ted -- memories that date back to my childhood and most of all his warmth and his compassion and the smile that always greeted my mom when she picked up her meds at his CVS. -- Lou Hirsh

Ted knew me before I knew myself. And in all that time, I can recall an unkind thing or two he may have said to a golf ball that went astray, but never an unkind thing he said to anyone. He, my cousin Carole, and all of their kids have not just been relatives to me, but friends who were always kind to me. My heart goes out to all of you! Merril Hirsh
