Theodore Sternklar Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 25, 2023.
Theodore ("Ted") Sternklar of Sharon, MA, formerly of New York, NY, entered into rest on October 24, 2023 at the age of 89. Beloved father and father-in-law of Jeffrey D. Sternklar (Netti), Michael D. Sternklar (Dorene) and Philip N. Sternklar (Deborah). Devoted grandfather of Amanda (Simon), Alexandra (Mariana Lopera), Samuel, Andrew and Grace. And, of course, his beloved great grand-dogs Zoe and Clyde. Beloved former husband to Marilyn (Chick) Sternklar and Adrienne (Wincor) Sternklar.

Ted was a Holocaust survivor and immigrated to New York at age 5, where he lived for most of his life with his late parents Sam and Anda Sternklar. Ted became one of the most respected and established matrimonial lawyers of his generation in New York, and won numerous awards and accolades for his legal achievements. Ted was renowned as a "take no prisoners" legal fighter who always put his clients first. Ted is survived by numerous former clients, partners, colleagues and friends, and he will be missed by all.

No funeral services are planned.

Donations in Ted's memory may be made to the Friends of the Israel Defense Forces (www.fidf.org), American Israel Public Affairs Committee (www.aipac.org) or to a charity of your choice. Condolences may be sent to Jeffrey and Netti Sternklar at their home.

May his memory forever and always be a blessing.

My most vivid and fun memory of Ted was when all the male cousins got up together and sang at Bob Falley´s wedding. We couldn´t stop laughing!
