On December 25, 2015, Theodore "Tom" Young, son of Dr. William Amos Young, Sr. and Josephine Burrell Young entered into eternal rest at Bowling Green Health and Rehabilitation Center in Bowling Green, Virginia. He was born on August 31, 1930 in Hustle, Virginia. He was educated in the Essex County Public School and the Rappahannock Industrial Academy. He became a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church and faithfully attended and supported the church until his health began to fail. He was united in Holy Matrimony to Ida B. Holmes and to this union they were blessed with one child, Juliette Young. He was later married to Patricia Berry. Theodore, better known as Tom, worked in various professions such as logging, tractor-trailer operator, construction, Rappahannock Vault Company and heavy equipment operator. He became proficient in all that he pursued. He was always known for his kindness, sense of humor, devotion to his family and for his unconditional love for his daughter Juliette. He joins his father, birth mother, and mother, Robinette Young, sisters, Wilhelmina Fennell, Josephine Richardson, Esther Scott and brother, William Amos Young, Jr. Left to cherish his memories are, his loving daughter Juliette Young, his brothers Leonidas Young (Cora), Herman (Soc), his sisters, Ruby Chestnut (Taylor), Patricia Wright (Delaney), Denyce Jones (Amos), two step grandsons, Antoine Shepherd and Jamal Shepherd and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
