Theresa Ann (Rasheeda, Stinky, Joey) Chase, 66, passed away on Monday, June 29, 2020 at Trinitas Medical Center in Elizabeth, NJ. Theresa was born on September 13, 1953 in Newark, NJ to Annie V. and Sherman (Eddie) Chase. Theresa was predeceased by her daughter Veronica (Shay) Reedy, husband Timothy Riker, Father Sherman Chase, Sister Gwendolyn Chase, Brother’s Sherman Chase and Robert Goode.
Theresa was educated in the Newark/Rahway public school system graduating with the Rahway High School class of 1971. Theresa continued her education at Rutgers University Newark campus where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, worked at many hospitals and found a love in hemodialysis.
Theresa lived life on her own terms, was strong willed and had a heart of gold. She was loyal to those she loved and if she said, she meant it. She was a grandmother, a mother to many, a friend to most, a beloved daughter, sister and Aunt.
Theresa is survived by her two Grandchildren, Dyshaun Reedy, Dymira Smith, mother Annie Chase, brothers Duane Chase of Los Angeles, CA, Shavar Chase of Rahway, NJ, long-time companion Eddie McClary of Rahway, Friend Lenny White of Roselle, and a host of Aunts, Uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Funeral Service will take place Friday July 17th at 10:00am at Lehrer-Gibilisco Funeral Home 275 West Milton Avenue, Rahway NJ 07065. Visitation will also be Friday 7/17 from 9:00am-10:00am at the Funeral Home.
