Theresa Padgett Obituary
Theresa was born and raised in Hawthorn Nevada and was the oldest of three children. At the age of eight she contracted Polio, leaving her a paraplegic. Despite her disabilities, she graduated high school and moved to California for College, where she majored in accounting at Armstrong College in Berkeley.
Upon graduating in 1966 she married Michael Padgett and started her accounting career in the aerospace industry. She remained in California until 1995, having three children born in 1975, 1981, and 1988.
Theresa lived a life of faith and loved children, teaching Sunday School and Religious Education for many years. Throughout those years she inspired many children with her childlike enthusiasm and love for Jesus. In 1995 she moved to southern Oregon with her family where she continued to teach and share her love of God and her faith.
Theresa is survived by her husband of near 59 years Michael Lavere Padgett, her three children: Kristin (Edward) Cutler, Ann-Marie (Gregory) Wilkoff, Michael (Victoria) Padgett, her 13 Grandchildren, 9 Great-Grandchildren, her mother Lupe Martinez, and sister Maria Martinez and family. She is preceded in death by her father Perfecto Martinez and brother Thomas Martinez.

May God's comforting love be with you during this time of grief. Theresa believed, and her faith has given her the reward of eternal peace and joy. Let us rejoice with her. My love and prayer to all of you, especially keep Lupe in my prayer. We prayed for Theresa during her illness and we will continue to pray for all of you. Saying goodbye to my sister is one of the most challenging experiences I've ever faced. As I take a moment to honor her memory, I recognize the profound impact she had on my life. My sister was not just a sibling; she was my closest friend, my confidant, and a guiding light on my spiritual journey.
She possessed a unique ability to bring warmth and joy to even the simplest moments. I can still hear her laughter and see her infectious smile lighting up every room. Our countless phone calls, where we shared our dreams and daily challenges, were invaluable connections that helped me navigate life's ups and downs.
While her absence leaves an undeniable void, it also reminds me of the incredible bond we shared. Though I reach for my phone to call her, I'm learning to hold onto the love and lessons she imparted. The intensity of missing her drives me to celebrate her spirit, ensuring that each memory magnifies not just the loss, but also the love and joy we experienced together
