Threresa was my grandmother for 34 years and my son, Benjamin Partick-Matteo's, great-grandmother for 4 years. There are many memories I have of her but the one that will be most treasured is her act of selflessness. She was always giving and never wanted anything in return. Just a smile. Whether it be her awsome cooking, or teaching any one of her skills (gardening, cooking, knitting, sewing) This is a character trait you can hardley find in peoiple today. But because of her, I too can pass this on to my family. So now there are two more people in the world like her. I recently made the trip from South Carolina, not to say goodbye but to tell her thank-you for everything. My sister Jenna and two brothers Marc and David also made the trip from Michigan to honor her. No matter where we all live she was that loved for us to all come together. My father (John) instilled our habit of coming home at least once a year due to his making the drive at least once a year, when we were kids. He was in the Navy so we would travel form Ca,Fl,Va and Mi. sometimes by train or we would drive. No matter what, we would see her. I will always keep her alive with her spirt and can only hope I may too touch as many people as she did. I love you grandma. always....Lauren Theresa Sparaco.

My condolences to Mike, John and Ann. Theresa was a wonderful Aunt to my Dad and I. My Dad thought of her as a second Mom. I will never forget the loving care she gave my Grandmother Josephine. She was a great friend and always there for us. We'll always cherish her memory with loving thoughts.

She was a great neighbor. My family is truly blessed to have known her and lived next door to her for the last 6 plus years. I will never forget her philosophy of "a rolling rock gathers no moss" or of her sneaking out back after Anne left for the city to go pull weeds under the brick path in the backyard.

Heartfelt sympathy for your loss. Mrs. Sparaco was a tremendous influence of dedication and tireless work ethic during my employ at the fabric shop. Even after the shop closed she custom made a beautiful slip cover for me. She was practical and generous and will be missed.

TO MIKE, JOHN AND ANN -
I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER MRS. SPARACO WALKING UP MAIN STREET TO CHURCH ALMOST EVERYDAY, NO MATTER WHAT THE WEATHER BROUGHT HER, SHE SEEMED TO HAVE A SMILE WITH HER.
WITH A HEAVY HEART, AS A LOT OF ONEONTA PEOPLE WILL HAVE TO SEE HER LEAVE US WILL ALSO LEAVE A VOID IN OUR HEARTS. REMEMBERING THE TIMES BEING IN HER HOUSE, AS KIDS AND ALWYS HAVING SOMETHING FOR US TO EAT.
ONE OF THE MOST MEMORABLE TIMES THERE WAS WHEN JOHN AND I WERE TRYING TO REPAIR THE EXHAUST SYSTEM ON HIS OLDS IN THE MIDDLE OF JANUARY. AS I REMEMBER MRS. SPARACO CAME TO OUR RESCUE WITH HOT CHOCOLATE TO SAVE THE DAY.
GOD BLESS YOU MRS. SPARACO.
YOU WILL ALWAYS BE IN MY PRAYERS.
