Therese A. Ellison-Bailey, 92, of Traverse City, Michigan and Englewood, Florida passed away on October 28, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.

Born on April 11, 1932 in Pinconning, Michigan. She was the daughter of the late Peter and Marie (Pospisil) Duley. Therese graduated from St. Michael's High School in Pinconning. Following the passing of her parents, Therese moved to Grayling, Michigan where she married Leslie R. Goss. Together they raised four children: David (Deborah) Goss and Mary (Ken) Murray of Traverse City and Julie (Cliff) Bonamie of Micanopy, Florida. She was preceded in death by her daughter Gail Stahl in 2017 and also son Dale, who died in infancy. Therese cherished her seven grandchildren: Michael (Amy) Goss, Nathan Bonamie, Aimee (Gene) Hoskins, Ambre (Ben) Richards, Ryan Stahl and Lyndsay Whaley, as well as her great-granddaughter Hadley Richards.

Therese was also preceded in death by five brothers: John, Joseph, Thomas, Bernard and James and four sisters: Paulene, Mary, Anna and Agnes. In 1972 she married Ward F. Ellison who passed away in 1999. In 2001 she married Richard E. Bailey who passed away in 2019.

Therese dedicated her career to the court system, retiring as the Court Administrator for Easton and Barry Counties. An avid golfer she celebrated two hole-in-ones and was a proud member of the Oyster Creek Golf Club in Florida and the Crown Golf Club in Traverse City.

Therese's warmth, love and passion for life will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Therese golfed in our Crown Thursday Women´s group for many years. She was competitive and known for her putting ability. She was quick to smile and laugh and was always on a good mood. She loved to play for money and usually won our contests, especially when it involved putting precision. She will be greatly missed.
