Dear Nancy,& Family
My Condolences on the passing of your father. My own Dad (who is 87 and will be 88 on February 1st) is still driving and is living in Abbotsford with his second wife. I had no idea that there was an 'Arnprior' connection with your Dad. I was born there (in the Old McLaughlin Mansion converted to be the original Arnprior Hospital) on Ground Hog Day in 1948. My mother's relatives all came from Braeside. Like your Dad .. he, my Dad, is a WWII Veteran (RCN H.M.C.S. Skeena; River Class destroyer). I saw your greeting today (January 2, 2010) in the Classmates for Laurentian High . . I do not have Gold Membership to effectively reply but my e-mail is:
[email protected]
I'm also in the phone book listed under my name and living on McEwen Avenue. Time flies doesn't it?

As a Aero-Technician working on F-86 Sabre, I worked with Andy in North Luffenham, England in the 1952-54 , he was a Sgt then, a very nice person to be in company of.
May his soul rest in peace

Anne Marie & Family:
I am so sorry to hear of Andy's passing. I worked with him for many years at Transport Canada. He was a good friend to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Please accept my deepest sympathy. May your memories bring you comfort.

Although I did not know Mr Andrews, I mourn the passing of another patriotic Canadian hero. I extend my deepest sympathies to you his family and friends, and to him I extend my deepest appreciation for the freedoms that we all enjoy.
I will remember them.
