I was very sorry to hear that Tom had passed away. I worked with Tom for about three years, and he always had a funny tale, an interesting anecdote, or an obscure word to share. We missed him after he retired, but many of us got the occasional email or phone to keep in touch. We'll miss him.

Tom had a genuine compassion and deep love for his family, friends, and his cat smokey. He was an extremely intelligent, uncommonly generous and a wonderfully funny man. Although I had the pleasure of knowing Tom for only nine months; his presence in my life will be truly missed. The many comical and amazing times we shared will remain in my heart forever. Tom once expressed to me, he loved watching snow flakes fall from the sky, the bigger the better! Remember, it snowed the day he passed.

We knew Tom as a friend and brother-in-law for over 10 years. We always enjoyed Tom's intelligence, dry sense of humor and easy smile. We will miss him. Our thoughts are with his family members at this time. I hope that you will find the pain that you are feeling now will be replaced by the fond memories of the good times you shared.

Dear Mr. B,
Recently Tom and I reconnected. We talked about old times and brought each other up to date on our lives. I was so sad to read of his passing. He and I were inseparable for a few years in high school. I'll miss his bizarre sense of humor.
