Thomas F. Bitgood

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Thomas Frederick Bitgood at the age of 65 on May 7, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer. Tom was born on April 16, 1956 in Norwich to the late Frederick H and Mary T. (Milliard) Bitgood. He grew up in South Windsor and graduated from Howell Cheney Technical High School. Tom is survived by his two daughters Jennifer Lynn Bitgood of Tennessee and Hannah Lee Hartford, her husband Timothy and their son Oliver of Moosup. He leaves his sister and brother-in-law Barbara and Frank Petrone. His nieces and their families Jessica (Petrone) Bernier and Andrea (Petrone) Woodward all of Manchester. His family would like to express their appreciation and gratitude to Timothy J. Hong, MD of the Helen and Harry Gray Cancer Center at Hartford Hospital and the medical staff at The Hebrew Center for Health and Rehabilitation in West Hartford for the wonderful care Tom has received these last five years.
