Thomas M. Buckholz, 47 of Milford, Conn. Devoted spouse of Gerald V. Passaro II passed away on Wednesday January 7, 2009 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was born on January 23, 1961 in New Haven, CT. Tom graduated from the Amity Regional High School in 1979. He graduated in 1983 from the University of Connecticut Storrs with a degree in Biology. Tom was a Scientist and avid Naturalist with a keen interest in gardening and marine biology. He worked, for nearly 20 years at the Bayer Pharmaceutical Corp. in West Haven, CT. As a chemist, in Bayer's Bio-molecular Analysis and Synthesis Laboratory, Tom conducted research and co-authored several research papers. Besides his spouse Jerry, Tom is survived by his daughter Erin Rose Delaria, of Walnut Creek, Calif.; his parents Donald and Shirley; his sisters Patricia and Kathryn; two brothers James and William; as well as several nieces and nephews. Tom was predeceased by his beloved sister Ellen Bethea. Arrangements are in care of the PORTO FUNERAL HOME, 830 Jones Hill Rd., West Haven. There are NO CALLING HOURS. Family and Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial in Sacred Heart Church, 74 Liberty Street, on Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at 10:30AM. Internment will be private. In lieu of flowers please send memorial contributions to the Father Michael J. McGivney Center for Cancer Care, 1450 Chapel Street, New Haven, CT 06511
